EMERGENCIES

In case of a medical emergency call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room. If you need to reach Dr. Gruenn outside office hours, for a matter that cannot wait to the next business day, please call 805.798.1006 and leave a message and Dr. Gruenn will be paged. Dr. Gruenn will only respond to calls on that number after the office is closed for the day. 

 

 If you call at 4:00 pm on a Thursday, your message will be attended to on Monday morning.

PHONE CALLS TO DR. GRUENN

Please leave your question with the office staff. Usually Dr. Gruenn return calls in the evening or the next morning. Medical issues require an office visit or a telephone appointment at regular fees.

HOSPITAL PRIVILEGES

Dr Gruenn does not practice hospital medicine.

BILLING FEES

All fees are due when services are rendered. The staff will provide you with a superbill that has the information your insurance carrier needs to reimburse you. 

 

LAB RESULTS and REPORTS

If you are sending test results or other documents for your visit with Dr. Gruenn, please email these in PDF format to office@drgruenn.com or assistant@drgruenn.com or send via fax 805-910-3486 .

Dr Gruenn will only call you with the results of blood tests or labs if they contain critical values and need immediate attention. Otherwise labs will be discussed during your next office visit. Make sure to book a follow up appointment whenever you have blood drawn or any other lab procedure performed.

 

CHANGING OR CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS

We have a 2-business day Cancellation policy. Should you fail to cancel in time, you will be charged 50% of the service fee. Same day cancellation/No Show Appointments will be charged 100% of the service fee. (Business days are Monday through Thursday ( 9:00 am -4:00 pm, lunch1:00 pm to 2:00 pm).

 

RENEWAL OF MEDICATIONS

To refill your medications please have your pharmacy FAX us a refill request at :

We cannot refill your medications unless you schedule a follow up visit with Dr. Gruenn every 12 months. Renewal of medication should be done well in advance. Except in case of an acute emergency Dr. Gruenn does not refill medication after office hours or on weekends  when your medical record is unavailable for review.
